If you are a researcher with a doctorate and thinking to work as a postdoctoral researcher, please do not hesitate to email me. N.B. I feel reluctant to supervise research projects which exclusively attempt to reveal the characteristics of individuals of a particular single nation. However, research which deepens our understanding of learning and development in international settings by focusing on individuals of particular nations is welcome.

研究生（学部・博士前期課程・博士後期課程）の受け入れ方針｜(GRADUATE) RESEARCH STUDENT ADMISSION POLICIES

研究生の受け入れについては、以下の点を総合的に判断して決定しています。学部（大学院）での成績研究したい事柄の基礎的知識を持っているか研究方法論の基本的知識（基礎的な統計と認識論や哲学の知識）を持っているか持続的に英語運用力を伸ばし、博士前期課程（修士課程）の後半、または博士後期課程の修学中に自分の研究テーマについて国際学会での発表をする意思があるか研究計画がまとまったこちらのフォームへ入力して櫻井（sakurai@hiroshima-u.ac.jp）にメールで連絡をしてください。なお、ありがたいことに多数の入学希望者からお問い合わせをいただいております。全ての学生を受け入れることはできませんので、どうしても日本で学びたいという方は他の研究室もご検討ください。

​Research student candidates are admitted on the basis of the assessment of the following documents.Undergraduate/postgraduate academic recordsBasic knowledge in the field of researchBasic knowledge of research methodology (basic statistics, epistemology, & research ethics)Willingness to develop English competence and make an oral presentation at an international scholarly conference in the second year of Master's degree.If you have prepared your research proposal, fill out this form and email me on sakurai@hiroshima-u.ac.jp.There have been many inquiries from students abroad. Unfortunately, a few of them can be admitted through. If you are highly willing to study in Japan, I would recommend considering "plan B" to do so (e.g., other research teams).
